Inside Inmite’s Prague Office
Inmite is one of the biggest Czech studios focusing on iOS, Android and Windows Phone app development. This approximately 6 years old company is based in Prague and its client’s list includes a number of very famous names such as SKODA Auto, Telefonica O2, AVAST and Air Bank.
“The design concept of the new headquarters of Inmite (a leading mobile applications developer in the Czech Republic) is based on mobile applications themselves. The shape of a rounded square of the application icons reflects architectural morphology, especially in the reception area, where a visitor gains their first impressions of the company, as an icon for an app. The mobility of its free-standing furniture represents the flexibility and freshness of the young progressive firm. The color design is also based on mobile applications, that are basically in bright full colors with a neutral background. In addition, their intensity lights up the mostly dim offices of the programmers and gives them renewed energy for their creative work. Getting deeper into the headquarters, or a structure of a mobile app, you reach office rooms where the apps are actually created. All the rooms are named after software patterns which create basic structure of applications. An essential element of the design is a green corridor wall with a company-story cartoon flowing around all the office rooms. The story includes all the Inmite milestones and characters of the team members. It therefore functions as both an attraction for visitors and a team building element for the company. The last part of the headquarters is a relaxation room (named „Lazy initialization“). It combines a relaxing zone of a shaggy green carpet with fatboys, play-area of soccer-table and Xbox TV and dining corner, with a kitchenette and large wooden table for Inmite lunch meetings,” says Tomas Horalik
