Inside Dailymotion’s Silicon Alley Offices

Matiz Architecture & Design has recently completed a new office design for French video-sharing website Dailymotion, located in the heart of New York’s Silicon Alley.

Designing the physical space for a web-based company is always a challenge and Dailymotion presented itself no differently than our previous clients. Located in the heart of Silicon Alley , we designed the entire 7th floor at the corner of 5th Avenue and 20th Street. Their 12,000 sf program required a complementary layout of transparent executive offices and open space areas for creative thinking promoting the Dailymotion brand. MAD integrated the various teams and their Senior staff with common spaces such as Conference rooms and Breakout areas, achieving a uniform distribution of quality environments. Digital media is strategically intertwined with more traditional graphic insertions, such as sound absorbing panels implying pixelated imagery. The felt covered materials also support a theme of warm and sensory surfaces to contrast the Dailymotion existence, offering employees and visitors a subtle relief from our digital reality, says Matiz Architecture & Design
