Square Enix is a popular technology company, that develops, publishes and distributes entertainment content. Its portfolio includes famous games such as: Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Hitman and Deus Ex. In 2014, the company opened a new european office in the London borough of Southwark, which was designed by Oktra.
“Oktra brought to life Square Enix’s view that work is an activity not a place and should support performance rather than presence. Its design pivots around two new-concept areas: a ‘Pret Zone’ and ‘live team’ workspace with a range of flexible and fixed desk alternatives focussed around activity based working. With 50% of its workforce now working flexibly, office zones were designed around the various daily activities people need – a mix of formal, informal and quiet zones, team areas or individual spaces. Already the new office has had a positive impact on communication and efficiency”, said Octra
