A Tour of Swift’s Super Cool Portland Office
Swift, a growing creative agency (owned by Possible) that leads brands forward with a combination of insights and ideas, recently moved into a new, industrial-style office located in Portland’s Slabtown neighborhood.
“The building is a renovated awning factory located in the heart of Portland’s Slabtown neighborhood, part of the city’s thriving creative sector. Designed with a minimalist aesthetic, this office space specifically caters to the creativity and adaptability required at an ad agency. It also provides areas for both collaboration and privacy as well comfort, airflow, lighting and positive conditions for indoor plant life. In particular, the move marks a serious investment in a local historic area undergoing a commercial and creative renaissance. Design details about this expansion include: Multiple live plant installations built into the design; A central kitchen equipped with a kombucha garden and marble-topped bars for spontaneous meet-ups; Modular gathering spaces replace individual offices to promote accessibility and organic interaction; An in-house content studio that expands to a five-bay production area designed to accommodate large-scale video and photo shoots; A sizeable crisscross staircase and twin X-shaped light fixtures are a nod to the agency’s female leadership; Amplified ceilings with angular rooftop dormers and a mezzanine level provide generous meeting space with natural light pouring in.”
