SK Global, the merged entity of Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, a Hollywood-based, independent film finance and production company, and Ivanhoe Pictures, an internationally-focused local-language content company – recently hired design and architecture studio Electric Bowery to renovate their offices in Santa Monica, California.

“Venice Beach-based Electric Bowery designed the renovation of an existing bow-truss and brick building for renowned film production company Sidney Kimmel Entertainment. Inspired by the existing architecture and the client’s vision of a New York-style loft space, Electric Bowery envisioned a complete redesign of the floor plan. All interior walls were removed to create an open central work space, with new offices and conference areas defined by walls of steel and glass, to facilitate a collaborative work environment. The custom-designed and fabricated steel-framed glazing provides a striking complement to the building’s industrial bones, while the accompanying interior design adds warmth to the environment with walnut millwork, feature lighting and custom-designed furniture pieces. The result is a modern and inviting office environment, flooded with natural daylight.”
