A Look Inside Veeam’s Modern Reading Office

Veeam, a technology company developing products for backing up and managing vSphere and Hyper-V virtual environments, hired workplace design firm Area, to fit-out their offices in Reading, England.

“Key to the new space was to create an inspiring environment that accurately represented Veeam’s dynamic brand. The Area team had excellent knowledge of the building which is owned by another of our longstanding clients. This provided us with crucial knowledge of all aspects of the building, including the mechanical & electrical systems. An open-plan environment was created with the use of soft meeting spaces and an open breakout area. The engagement by the design team and client in regular workshops ensured an accurate brief and design development programme. An early occupation in the building was critical to meet the client’s needs, this meant the creation of a clean room space for the comms equipment. We were also able to offer a fast track solution for landlord approval. Glass walls and screens were installed throughout the space to support the open-plan feeling. The existing services installation was altered for increased ventilation and AC requirements,” says Area
