Inside Nielsen’s Cool New NYC Technology Hub
Nielsen, a global performance management company providing a comprehensive understanding of what consumers watch and buy, recently opened its new technology hub office in New York City.
“We were looking to create a technology hub within New York City’s Silicon Alley to attract and retain technology talent in the competitive market. One of the biggest changes when moving into this location was to remove all personal offices and move associates into a “cove desk” layout. Teams are in an open seating with couches, rolling Google Jamboards, whiteboards, tables and stools to aid in agile development. For conference rooms themes: 3rd floor is 80s Hair Rock Bands and 4th floor is 90s Female Singer/Songwriters. Each room is unique aligning to it’s namesake artist and has a combination of couches, tables and a funky clocks. All rooms are designed with 2 tvs to enable an optimal Google Hangout experience”, says Nielsen
