A Peek Inside Forest Holidays’ New Moira Office
Forest Holidays, a British company that allows people to book and stay in custom-built log cabins in remote forest locations, hired interior design firm ThreeHundredandSixtyDegrees, to design their new offices in Moira, England.
“We were called in to design a proposal to improve space efficiency and fit out the remaining warehouse space and the adjacent, derelict boathouse. Our design was sensitive to the building and its immediate environment while at the same time developing the storage facility into high quality office space that gave the company the space they needed to grow. Working closely with the directors, we developed a scheme which was bright and vibrant, whilst incorporating elements of nature. The main reception wall is clad in stone, the soft seating fabrics have a leaf and bramble pattern, there are lots of real plants dotted around the space and the wall graphics and pictures all have a forest theme to them. With an ever-growing workforce, challenges such as hot desking and formal/informal meeting spaces had to be factored in to the design, as well as providing a relaxing dining and breakout space for the staff,” says ThreeHundredandSixtyDegrees
