Inside CA Technologies’ Modern Sao Paulo Office
CA Technologies, a technology company developing a system software that runs in mainframe, distributed computing, virtual machine and cloud environments, recently opened a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil which was designed by interior design firm Informov Engenharia + Arquitetura.
“Recently inaugurated, the 2,200 m2 office in São Paulo has more than 200 employees engaged in the company’s operations in Latin America. Designed by Informov Engenharia + Arquitetura, it has large corridors, doors, and spaces between tables, as well as especially designed structures for people with reduced mobility, including electric adjustable height desks. Identifications in Braille and fully tactile paving surfaces were installed to facilitate the circulation of visually impaired people. “At CA Technologies, we prioritize diversity and understand that the first step towards it is to offer a comfortable work place to employees with different needs. That’s why we have eliminated everything that could represent physical barriers to anyone and the result is an office that encourages creativity and collaboration between teams,” says Marcel Bakker, President of CA Technologies in Brazil. CA Technologies, operating in Brazil for more than 35 years, has chosen two floors in the Golden Tower building, located in Morumbi Corporate business condo, as its new address. The building has a Leed Gold certification, awarded by the US Green Building Council, an organization that promotes sustainable construction. The building is energy self-sufficient, reuses rainwater in its air-conditioning system and toilets – which are equipped with water-saving devices – and is committed with waste management. Besides its emphasis on accessibility and sustainability, the new office prioritizes collective and shared spaces, without partitions, with tables spread out to encourage brainstorming. It has 27 meeting rooms of different sizes and designs, named after each of the 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District, as well as individual teleconference rooms.”
