A Look Inside Foolproof’s London Office
Foolproof is a UX design agency that specializes in product and service design for global brands. Having recently outgrown their office space in London, the company has recently moved into a new office located in London’s Spitalfield area and designed by office design firm Thirdway Interiors.
“Foolproof gave ThirdWay a brief to create a space where great design work can happen, where people can be happy and comfortable whilst working, where teams can have their own identity as well as shared spaces for collaboration. With the client being also being in the design profession, ThirdWay’s Alexandra Hill states that as an interior designer this can add pressure to a project as the client is more detail-focused. Alex describes the design process as being for 3 types of people; Foolproof themselves, the types of clients that Foolproof work with as well as the participants who’ll be coming in to the space to test their products. Even though the goal was to create a bright and airy space Alex wanted to put an emphasis on the detail in the finishes. They also wanted to create 2 halves of the building to be distinct from one another, the breakout and working environments are designed to look and feel different. “Principle of collaboration, quick, iterative development being able to listen and adapt to the need of the client is important.” Foolproof saw it as a good opportunity to sit on the other side of the table and look for an agency that upheld the values they hold as a business. It is not just a vanity project but the next step for Foolproof as an organisation”, said Thirdway Interiors
