A Peek Inside Criteo’s New Boston Office
Criteo, a global technology company that helps advertisers generate more sales through personalised performance advertising, reached out to Boston-based architectural firm Dyer Brown to design their new offices in Downtown Boston.
“The architects exploited opportunities to maximize the design’s impact on reinforcement of Criteo’s youthful brand image and a corporate culture that emphasizes creativity and play. At the heart of the plan is the gracefully curved, stainless steel slide that whimsically connects the two floors. The dedicated game room is furnished with custom banquette benches, cubby seating with hot pink upholstery, and wood-paneled electric fireplaces — the better to enjoy such offerings as shuffleboard, video games, ping-pong, and air hockey. Exposed ceilings and polished concrete floors contribute a raw, industrial feel to the spacious employee recreational area and adjacent pantry and lounge. Nearby, an original hand-painted wall mural by a Criteo employee energizes the otherwise monochromatic office with a burst of color. The open office layout integrates workstations of varying heights, accommodating the preferred work styles of the 175 employees, and creating an environment that encourages staff to collaborate and connect. Located along the perimeter wall, conference rooms fully-equipped with audiovisual equipment and data connections double as informal collaboration rooms. The program also includes a phone booth, a mother’s room, a generous pantry area, a scrum area, a 32-seat training room and several lounges. The design capitalizes on the sweeping views of Boston Harbor, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls throughout the space allow ample natural daylight to reach most work areas. ”
