Steelhead Productions, a video production company that creates television commercials, digital branded content, and episodic entertainment, hired architecture and design firm HLW to build their new office, located in Los Angeles’ Playa Vista neighborhood.
“When it came time for creative modern agency Deutsch, Inc. to outfit a full-service production studio for Steelhead Productions, they called upon HLW’s Los Angeles studio to reimagine nearly 48,000-square-feet of a previously underutilized building. The adaptive reuse project in the heart of Silicon Beach included a full rehabilitation of an existing structure and the addition of a new second floor with new offices, post-production house and full capability shooting stage. HLW transformed the existing warehouse into stunning office and technical spaces, including three new dynamic mezzanines connected by a series of bridges. The overall look and feel of the space is creative with both artistic and cultural elements. Additionally, the design is innovative and “out of the box.” The completed space consists reception, offices, conference/meeting rooms, workstations, community areas, café/pantry, broadcast studio and other types of broadcast functions.”
