A Peek Inside Motorola Solutions’ Modern London Office

Telecommunication company Motorola Solutions hired workplace design firm Area to design their office in London, England.

“Taking design inspiration from Motorola’s global headquarters in Chicago, their executive London office provides a familiar look and feel to the USbased office, whilst also offering something completely different from Motorola’s more functional hubs across the UK. Bringing Motorola’s branding and image up to date, the 11th floor of the Nova South building, one of two distinct, architecturally daring buildings in Victoria was selected. In line with their modern building choice, Motorola’s UK flagship office provides a contemporary customer-facing, flexible workspace for its staff and clients.

The open-plan working environment includes touch-down spaces, breakout areas, and formal and informal meeting opportunities. In order to support this agile way of working, a state-of-the-art room booking system has been installed. In addition, the workspace also includes a demonstration area where live simulations of the latest Motorola products can be presented to the city’s police and ambulance forces, as well as clients from large government organisations. Two separate comms rooms and an extensive AV package have been installed to sufficiently run the demonstration suite and the workspace’s infrastructure, which includes an N+1 critical calling system,” says Area
