A Look Inside Toscafund’s New London Office
Asset management company Toscafund recently hired workplace design firm AIS Workplace to design their new office in London, England.
“After viewing many number a building, the ideal location was finally secured. The space is situated in the very heart of Marylebone, arguably London’s most chic West End district. Once being home to the English writer Charles Dickens, Ferguson House is a property steeped in history. The Toscafund team then appointed us to to bring their mature identity and ethos to life in their new location.
Entering into the client meeting suite there are rooms varying in sizes that serve all types of meeting needs. This varies from one to ones to larger team meetings. Additionally a client facing tea point is placed here to easily and conveniently serve visitors when in meetings.
In the centre of lobby is an eloquently designed marble and timber staircase creating a statement piece filling the whole space. Then going up the stairs the client suite continues where you will find the main boardroom. An impressive room where your eye is drawn straight to the large meeting table where three statement chandeliers hang above.
Dispersed amongst the space are multiple client facing bathrooms which continue the spa like feel adding onto the luxurious ambience of the space.Split across two floors, the main staff area is located on the 4th floor. Here spans a large open plan desking area to house the team where we used neutral tones with biophilia weaved throughout to breathe life into the space.
Arranged across the fourth floor are large individual offices, spacious and open. These rooms overlook the team at their desks through the floor to ceiling glass walls.Within the same space we ensured to create a design that improved wellness as well as being a great place to work. You will find staff facilities such as a walk-through tea-point, showers, lockers and a vanity space to get ready at in a spa like environment. This space bridges the gap between the office and personal life. For example, having showers available to use after cycling to work or after a morning gym session, makes the daily routine of the team a little easier.
The bi-folding doors from the tea point open onto the roof terrace. This is where you can overlook the city views with seasonal planting, evening lighting and BBQ making it the perfect space to host team events.”
