A Look Inside Clifford Chance’s New Prague Office
International law firm Clifford Chance recently hired real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield to design their new office in Prague, Czech Republic.
“Our cooperation with Clifford Chance commenced in 2019, supporting our Client with space planning and architectural advisory during the selection of the premises. This early cooperation enabled us to better understand their needs and vision.
Once it was decided that Clifford Chance would stay at their existing location of Jungamnnova Plaza, our task was to better connect the 2 floors and brighten up the office space, in order to provide a more attractive and inviting workplace for both staff and clients. During the design evolution in 2020, the Covid impact placed more importance on the attractiveness of the new office in encouraging people back post-Covid.
Changing the disposition of the current office, a brighter more spacious reception area was gained, enjoying natural daylight and view onto the Františkánská garden. The area also needed to be suitable for holding client events and the flexibility of the space was a key consideration.
Another key change was the creation of a large open relax zone for employees, substituting the former kitchenette facilities, providing an area for staff to meet, relax or work in an informal setting.
The design inspiration for the architectural concept comes from nature, connected to the view onto the Františkánská garden from the client zone. We focused on providing a first impression of elegance. The client zone uses outside views complimented from both sides decorated by composition of greenery islands illuminated by minimalistic barrisol lights,” says Cushman and Wakefield
