A Look Inside Total Fire Protection’s New Woodbury Office
Fire and life safety specialists company Total Fire Protection hired architecture firm Spector Companies to design their new office in Woodbury, New York.
“Faced with zoning and budget constraints, we were determined to convert the outdated warehouse into a beacon of success and creativity. The interior promotes collaboration with thoughtfully designed spaces. Glass-fronted offices along the perimeter overlook a central-park-like area, encouraging interaction. Visual elements pay homage to Brooklyn’s heritage, while dynamic walls in the training rooms infuse energy into the atmosphere. A museum-like product display offers engaging hands-on learning, showcasing their expertise.
We seamlessly integrated the interior and exterior spaces by adding an outdoor grotto, complete with high-speed Wi-Fi, where employees can work, socialize, and reconnect with nature. To overcome the view of the parking lot from certain areas, tree-lined streetscapes were positioned along the back, providing a picturesque backdrop instead. The inclusion of a bistro, offering free and healthy food, along with recreational amenities like golf simulators, pool tables, and video games, creates the perfect work-play balance.
The exterior became a canvas for the company’s identity. A prominent logo captures attention, effectively turning the exterior into a marketing tool. The exterior showcases a “wood facade” made of insulated aluminum panels and glass, blending modernism with natural elements, leaving a lasting impression on onlookers.
With their revitalized workplace, Total Fire Protection can now attract top talent, nurture a diverse workforce, and solidify their position as the leading fire protection company in the tristate area.”
