A Look Inside Gamma’s New Antwerp Office
Retail company Gamma hired architecture and interior design firm Tetris to design their new office in Antwerp, Belgium.
“The new Gamma workspace masterfully incorporates references to the raw materials sold by the leading Benelux DIY home renovation and construction retailer into a welcoming office environment that embodies the principles of collaboration and flexibility, values that are core to the success of Gamma’s franchise business model.
Brick-like tiles, tubular metal frames on hot desks, and concrete wall cladding evoke a strong connection to the construction industry, while natural wood, warm colors, soft textures, curtains, and plants infuse the space with a sense of coziness and hominess. This blend of robust industrial elements with inviting domestic features creates a workspace that is refreshingly functional and warmly welcoming.
At the heart of the office space is a social area designed for multifunctional use. This includes a spacious podium that effortlessly transforms into an event space for company gatherings and a breakaway kitchen, complete with a cozy bar and bistro-style bench — ideal for employees to relax, recharge, and foster informal interactions.
Permanent workstations, separated by transparent work screens with planters and whiteboards, are placed at the edge of the floor plate to provide access to natural light and views while giving teams the opportunity to work alongside each other. Hot desking is provided along with flexible workstations for employees spending less time in the office to support the company’s hybrid work policy.
This new environment reflects Gamma’s mission to help people improve their living environments. By offering a space that is not merely a workplace but a source of inspiration and innovation, Gamma has created a destination that rewards employees for their commute and supports their work styles. It is an environment that fosters creative thinking and collaboration while also encapsulating the essence of their business — making it a true embodiment of the brand’s ethos.”
